The Town of Waxhaw is busily preparing for the second annual BBQ Cook-Off “Grill’n & Chill’n on Main” to be held on Oct 8th, 2011, (in conjunction with Autumn Treasures Oct 8th-9th.)BBQ Categories will be Boston Butt BBQ and BBQ Spare Ribs, with prize money of $2,500 to be awarded. Mayor Richard Williams of Fairview NC Passed Away

On Saturday, December 12, 2009, Fairview lost its first and current mayor, Richard Ephraim Williams. The only mention of his death in either The Charlotte Observer or The Enquirer Journal was in the Obituaries section of each paper. So few words to describe the service that he has given to his community and to the development of the Town of Fairview!
